They are usually supervised by a Black Belt expert and are involved in analyzing and solving of problems, and ensuring quality delivery of projects.
They require three years of work experience managing projects. They are team leaders who supervise and provide mentoring to lower belts. Functions include simulation mapping, value stream mapping and root cause analysis.
As a professional working closely with senior level management, a minimum five years of work experience being a black belt is required. The MBB coaches the Green Belts and Black Belts. He becomes an organization’s technologist and consultant.
There are also support roles at Six Sigma, namely:
- Champions – They are charged with identifying projects and transforming the company’s goals and mission while finding a way to deploy them. This way, they are able to eliminate any roadblocks.
- Executives – They are tasked with aligning the company’s Six Sigma Program with its traditions and vision.
